The RI-PATHS project has convened three dedicated workshops with RI participants at CERN focusing on RIs for basic research (13 November 2018), at ALBA focusing on applied and solution-oriented RIs (28 November 2018) and at ELIXIR focusing more on distributed and virtual data RIs (4 December 2018). The aim of the workshops was to identify and prioritise the most relevant impact areas to be included in the impact assessment framework. Furthermore, the participants were invited to share their assumptions and practical experiences on how RIs prompt different socio-economic impacts and to contribute to the design of the most relevant impact pathways. The RI-PATHS project team is very grateful for the lively discussions and active engagement of the RI community in this co-creation process.
The outcomes of all workshops will be summarised in a report that will become publicly available in early 2019. The announcement on the next round of participatory workshops focusing on metrics, assessment methods and best data collection practices will be issued by February 2019.
